Meet the Mentors

Bill Herling is CEO and Co-Founder of Humming and he wants to disrupt digital advertising. Humming uses the most diverse audience data to get ads in front of the right people at the right time, all across the web. Humming moved from Seattle to Tacoma last year and has seen rapid growth in its size and revenues since. Bill is doing all this locally with his team in downtown.
Will Gordon is CoFounder and COO of Latchel. Will founded Latchel to innovate how tenants and landlords can seamlessly connect 24/7 to a maintenance contractor. Will meets regularly with other founders to discuss barriers and successes in scaling a technology company. His company is continuing to expand locally. He is proud to make Tacoma home for himself and his family.

Laura Malcolm is the Co-Founder & CEO of Give InKind, an innovative, community platform for coordinating support through major life events. Used by thousands of people around the country every day, Give InKind allows users to sign up to help friends and family with their Care Calendar, Wishlist or Crowdfunding. Laura spent 10 years in Product Management before starting Give InKind. 

 Shadrach White CEO & Founder of CloudPwr is a serial entrepreneur that is naturally optimistic with a fierce work ethic. He has grown cloudPWR locally and continues to serve his community as a technology mentor and as an Advisory Board Member for UW Tacoma School of Engineering and Technology.  ​

Nate worked in his family's Tacoma business as a youth and in multiple tech startups in the Silicon Valley since 2004. Nate currently spends his time assisting founders with growth strategy, development of sales channels, and all the fundamentals associated with making a company scale.

Arthur is a corporate transactions and securities attorney at Eisenhower Carlson PLLC.  Arthur counsels companies across a variety of industries, with a special focus on startup and technology companies.  Arthur's practice includes securities offerings, business transactions, commercial exits, and mergers and acquisitions. He is the first call most startup leaders make when they need legal advice.

As a serial entrepreneur and angel investor, Eli is a tireless supporter of Tacoma's ecosystem. He has seen over 500 companies reside in his coworking spaces and is working on multiple projects to bring more companies to Tacoma.

Kristine Grace

As a longtime Tacoma resident, Kristine is passionate about educational and training programs in tech and biotech in her hometown. With a history in healthcare, she is an investor in many types of innovative medical technologies and technological companies. ​
